Namit Baikar, a seasoned Business HR Leader with nearly two decades of extensive experience across Aviation, Manufacturing, Retail, and Logistics in Asia Pacific and the Middle East, has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) of Air India SATS Airport Services Private Limited (AISATS), effective April 1, 2025. In his new role, Namit will drive AISATS’ people strategy, talent management, and organizational transformation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to excellence in human capital development.
Before joining AISATS, Namit led Human Capital for SATS India, overseeing HR operations across subsidiaries and joint ventures, while also serving as an HC Business Partner for Global Operations and Food Solutions. His expertise in strategic HR leadership, business partnering, and talent acquisition has played a crucial role in shaping the workforce across multiple organizations. His contributions to SATS India included talent development, leadership enhancement, and compliance initiatives, strengthening the company’s HR capabilities.
Prior to SATS, Namit worked at IKEA, where he led the HR function in India and APAC, playing a key role in establishing the company’s market entry and distribution network strategy. His tenure saw the successful execution of employer branding, leadership development, and compliance frameworks. Namit also transitioned into a business role, setting up IKEA’s first Dark Store and leading the fulfillment team to launch e-commerce operations in the region.
Earlier in his career, Namit spent eight years at A.P. Moller – Maersk across South Asia and the Middle East, holding roles in Business Partnering, Talent Management, Change Management, and Industrial Relations. He was also an OPEX Navigator with McKinsey & Co. during the global ‘Operational Excellence’ rollout at Maersk. His extensive experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of HR strategy, total rewards, policy compliance, and organizational establishment across industries.
Namit holds a master’s degree in Human Resources, is a certified leadership coach, and a Six Sigma Green Belt holder. A sports enthusiast and an active speaker at industry forums, he is also involved with various management institutes, guiding students in corporate preparedness.
