Jayanta Basu has been reappointed as the Managing Director of ITD Cementation, with his new term set to commence on April 1, 2025, and continue until March 31, 2028. With an extensive career spanning over three decades, Basu has played a pivotal role in ITD Cementation’s growth, contributing significantly to the execution of major infrastructure projects. His leadership has been instrumental in driving the company’s success in the engineering and construction sectors.
A graduate in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (formerly Bengal Engineering College), Calcutta University, Basu has over 39 years of expertise in engineering, construction, project management, and contracts management. He began his journey with ITD Cementation as a Graduate Engineer Trainee in 1986 and steadily rose through the ranks, becoming the Chief Operating Officer in 2017. In 2019, he was appointed as the Managing Director, a role he has successfully held since then.
Renowned for his domain expertise in engineering and construction, particularly in maritime structures, Basu has led the execution of intricate infrastructure projects with precision. His core competencies lie in project management, contracts management, business development, and the advancement of tendering and estimation models. Under his leadership, ITD Cementation has strengthened its presence in the industry and continued to expand its operations.
