Jyoti Mahendru has joined McCann Worldgroup India as the Chief Talent Officer and National Communication Officer. Her appointment comes as part of a renewed focus on cultivating high-performance teams, fostering an inclusive culture, and aligning communication strategies with McCann’s larger creative ambitions.
Jyoti brings over 25 years of diverse human resource experience spanning talent management, organizational design, leadership development, and change transformation. Prior to this, she served as the Chief People Officer at VML India, where she led the harmonization of culture and HR structures during a critical phase of integration and expansion.
This is a homecoming of sorts, as she previously served as Executive Vice President – Human Resources at McCann Worldgroup India between 2018 and 2022. During that tenure, she was instrumental in institutionalizing people-first policies, improving organizational design, and building a collaborative internal culture.
Before that, she held the position of Practice Director – HR Solutions at KNAV International and has extensive consulting experience with startups and SMEs, where she helped set up HR frameworks from the ground up. Her earlier consulting years were preceded by a five-year sabbatical, where she focused on family and personal development.
Known for her strategic outlook and empathetic leadership, Jyoti now returns to McCann in a larger capacity. She will be responsible for talent acquisition, employee engagement, internal communication, and reinforcing a culture that mirrors McCann’s creative ethos and values.
