Kanwal’s remarkable journey includes significant editorial leadership roles, having been the News Director at India Today and Aaj Tak and the Managing Editor for both channels.
Kanwal’s impressive career spans more than two decades, with major contributions to India Today Group. He began his journey as a reporter and anchor at Zee News and Zee Business, eventually rising through the ranks to senior editorial positions. At Headlines Today, he served as Managing Editor, Executive Editor, and Editor, where he played a key role in editorial direction. His experience as Senior Special Correspondent and Special Correspondent at Aaj Tak further cemented his expertise in news coverage and storytelling.
His leadership in India Today Group, especially in overseeing the strategic direction of news and broadcasting, has been instrumental in shaping the channel’s editorial success.
