Nikhil Shembekar has assumed the role of Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Brigade Group, a prominent real estate developer headquartered in Bengaluru, India. Prior to this appointment, Shembekar served in various leadership capacities at Sun Pharma, including Head of Digital Technology, Manufacturing IT, India Business, and Emerging Markets.
With over 18 years of experience in Digital Transformation, HR Technology, IT Outsourcing, Technology Consulting, and Vendor Management, Shembekar brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His proficiency spans Industry 4.0, Data and Analytics, AI/ML, IT Strategy, Cloud Operations, and Cybersecurity. He has spearheaded transformative initiatives at esteemed organizations such as Godrej, RPG Group, and Sun Pharma, earning recognition from industry authorities like Gartner, SAP, and Forbes. Notably, Shembekar was honored with the 2012 ITNEXT Next 100 CIO Award, recognizing his potential to excel in senior IT leadership roles.
A graduate of XLRI Jamshedpur with a Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, and an Electrical Engineering degree from Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology, Shembekar’s career spans key positions in renowned companies like RPG Enterprises and United Spirits Limited.
