Isha Ambani and Mira Kapoor Collaborate for Innovative Skincare Brand ‘Akind’

Isha Ambani, leading Reliance Retail’s beauty platform Tira, and Mira Rajput Kapoor, renowned for her wellness advocacy, have co-founded a new skincare brand called ‘Akind’. This brand was unveiled at Tira’s flagship store at Jio World Drive in Mumbai and is available both online and offline at Tira, India’s premier beauty destination.

Akind’s product range is designed to enhance skin barrier health and is categorized into three segments: BUILD, BALANCE, and DEFENCE. The BUILD segment focuses on repairing and restoring the skin barrier, featuring products like the Clean Slate Hydrating Cleanser, On Cloud Nine Lightweight Moisturizer, and Sleep Tight Firming Serum. The BALANCE range aims at maintaining skin equilibrium and includes the Fresh Start Oil-Free Balancing Cleanser, Bounce Back Soothing and Purifying Toner, and Get Even Everyday Multi-Active Serum. The DEFENCE range is designed to protect the skin from pollution and sun damage, offering products such as the Bright Idea Radiance Serum, No Shade Sunscreen Primer SPF 50 PA++++, and Super Smooth Sun Stick SPF 50 PA+++.

Isha Ambani, Executive Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited, expressed her excitement about the launch, highlighting it as a significant milestone in Tira’s journey and a testament to their commitment to innovation and excellence. Mira Kapoor emphasized the extensive research and high-efficacy ingredients behind Akind, aiming to offer high-performance, affordable skincare solutions.

Mira Rajput Kapoor, wife of Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor, has established herself as a health and wellness advocate, frequently sharing insights on skincare, fitness, and lifestyle. Her entry into the beauty industry with ‘Akind’ reflects her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to promoting effective, accessible skincare solutions.

While many praised the launch and Mira’s dedication, some netizens expressed mixed reactions. A Reddit post showcased Akind products available at discounted prices on the launch day, with some users describing the products as mediocre and suggesting that Mira should have created a unique range of products.
