WeWork India has appointed Janak Malkani as the Head of Managed Office for India and Sales Lead for the West region. Malkani’s deep market knowledge, strategic vision, and extensive experience are expected to drive WeWork India’s Managed Office offerings to new heights.
Malkani brings an 18-year career in Indian real estate, most recently serving as Executive Director of CBRE’s Advisory & Transaction Services in Mumbai. His previous roles include positions at Cushman & Wakefield, Knight Frank, and Indiaproperties.com. He has played a significant role in the India expansion plans of international retailers like Walmart and DeBeers, demonstrating his ability to build trust and deliver results.
Karan Virwani, CEO of WeWork India, expressed excitement about Malkani joining the team. He noted that WeWork India is building a full-stack solution platform and that the Managed Office vertical is gaining momentum. The flexible workspace market has grown by about 20 percent year-over-year over the past three years, with large enterprises and traditional businesses driving 60 percent of this growth. This trend highlights the increasing demand for comprehensive office space management, allowing businesses to focus on their core products.
