Dr. Sanjay Gupta is a seasoned professional with over 32 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, and strategic sourcing. He currently serves as the Joint President and Chief Procurement Officer at Adani Group, based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.
His educational background includes an Executive MBA in Supply Chain & Logistics from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where he also participated in a Project Management in Major Ports Certificate Course. Additionally, he has completed leadership innovation and strategy courses at GE Crotonville Singapore and holds an MBA in Materials and Supply Chain Management. Dr. Gupta is a graduate in Mechanical Engineering and has undertaken a three-year postgraduate diploma in Materials Management (PGDMM).
Throughout his career, Dr. Gupta has held several key positions at Adani Group, including Chief Procurement Officer, Senior Vice President & Head of Techno-commercial for APSEZ and Logistics, and Sr Vice President & Head Techno Commercial. He has been responsible for the procurement and management of major commodities such as cement, steel, and bitumen, as well as overseeing the entire supply chain for the Adani Group’s projects.
With his deep knowledge of supply chain management, optimization techniques, capacity planning, and business processes, Dr. Gupta continues to make substantial contributions to the industry, driving innovation and excellence in procurement and logistics.
