Axis Bank announced the appointment of Saswata Gauna as Vice President of the Real Estate Business. This strategic addition to the team underscores Axis Bank’s commitment to strengthening its leadership and expertise in the real estate sector.
Saswata Gauna brings over a decade of extensive banking experience to his new role. Before joining Axis Bank, Gauna had a notable career at ICICI Bank, where he excelled in various capacities, including Senior Relationship Manager, Branch Head, and Relationship Manager. His tenure at ICICI Bank, spanning nearly a decade, was marked by his adept management of client relationships and portfolio growth within the Financial Sponsors Group (Private Equity & VC) and Global Clients Group.
Gauna’s career began at Axis Bank in 2006, where he initially worked in ATM cell operations. His journey continued at IDBI Bank as a Relationship and Operations Manager and at CRISIL Limited as an Intern, further honing his skills in financial management and client services.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Banking and Corporate Finance from the ICICI Leadership Program at NIIT University, Rajasthan, and a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Utkal University. Gauna’s educational background and professional experience make him a valuable asset to Axis Bank’s Real Estate Business.
