Sukhpreet Swaran Sandhu has joined VAP Group as the Global Head of Human Resources, bringing with him an extensive 17-year career in human resources leadership. Known for his transformative approach to HR, Sandhu’s appointment marks a strategic move for VAP Group, a global Web3 and AI consulting services firm. His expertise in scaling organizations and implementing innovative HR strategies will be pivotal as VAP Group continues its rapid growth in the emerging sectors of blockchain, Web3, and AI.
Sukhpreet’s career trajectory includes key roles in diverse industries such as SaaS, automobile, consulting, and retail. Prior to joining VAP Group, he led the HR function at ITILITE, a United States-based SaaS and fintech platform. During his tenure at ITILITE, Sandhu spearheaded the organization’s growth, doubling its size in just seven months while establishing teams across the APAC and US markets. His leadership in strategic HR initiatives, including employer branding, talent management, and business partnering, played a critical role in ITILITE’s expansion.
Sukhpreet’s remarkable achievements also include his role as the first HR leader at Spinny, where he built the HR framework from scratch and scaled the company over 20 times, contributing significantly to Spinny’s rise as a unicorn. His experience in managing comprehensive HR functions, from talent acquisition to rewards and compliance, has been instrumental in establishing strong organizational cultures that support business transformations.
Before his success at Spinny, Sukhpreet held leadership roles at Denave, IndiaMART Group, and Myntra-Jabong. His diverse background has given him a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within both B2B and B2C sectors. He is known for his hands-on approach in building agile organizational cultures and his strategic expertise in talent management and leadership development.
An alumnus of the Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon, Sandhu has also pursued specialized studies in human resources from XLRI Jamshedpur and the London School of Business, UK. His achievements have been recognized with numerous accolades, including being named among Asia’s Top 100 Power Leaders in HR and receiving the Indian Achievers Award for Excellence in HR and Contribution to Nation Building in 2021-22.
