Griffin Gaming Partners Welcomes Emily Wang as COO and Partner, Expands Leadership Team

Griffin Gaming Partners, a prominent venture capital firm specializing in gaming, has recently appointed Emily Wang as its Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Partner. With over a decade of experience in advising major technology and interactive entertainment companies on mergers, acquisitions, and financings, Wang brings a wealth of expertise to her new role.

Prior to joining Griffin, Wang served as a Managing Director at LionTree, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions within the interactive entertainment sector. She has also held key positions at Code Advisors and J.P. Morgan, contributing to successful transactions totaling over $15 billion. Notable deals include the sale of Next Games to Netflix, PullString to Apple, and Ustream to IBM, among others.

Expressing her excitement about joining Griffin, Wang emphasized her commitment to collaborating with the team to further the firm’s impact on the gaming industry. Peter Levin, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Griffin Gaming Partners, praised Wang as a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of gaming culture, highlighting her integrity, grit, and passion for the industry.

Wang holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University and possesses Series 79 Investment Banking Representative and Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law licenses. She currently serves on the boards of Muus Collective and Hardball Games.
