ManipalCigna Health Insurance, a joint venture between the Manipal Group and Cigna Healthcare, has named Richa Chatterjee as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Chatterjee brings over two decades of experience in human resource management to her new role, where she will be tasked with shaping the company’s HR strategies aimed at attracting, developing, and retaining top talent.
In addition to driving talent acquisition and development, Chatterjee will focus on fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusivity (DEI) within ManipalCigna. She will align HR practices to support the organization’s growth ambitions and mission. Prasun Sikdar, Managing Director and CEO of ManipalCigna, expressed confidence in Chatterjee’s abilities, stating, “Richa’s expertise will enable us to lead our DEI efforts, attract and retain the talent necessary, and continue to deliver on our company’s purpose and growth strategy.”
Chatterjee echoed these sentiments, saying, “My focus will be on enhancing our people strategy, fostering a culture that empowers and inspires our employees, and propelling us forward as an organization towards our mission.”
Before joining ManipalCigna, Chatterjee served as CHRO and President at Indian Infoline Group, and has held various leadership roles in HR at organizations like The Boston Consulting Group (India) and Tata Motors. Her diverse experience across industries positions her to lead ManipalCigna’s HR agenda effectively as the company continues to expand in the health insurance space.
