American International Group, Inc. (NYSE: AIG) has announced the appointment of Kelly Lafnitzegger as Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources & Diversity Officer (CHRO), effective June 1, 2024. Lafnitzegger brings with her over 30 years of experience, primarily from General Electric (GE), where she held various leadership roles across multiple divisions.

In her new role, Lafnitzegger will report directly to Peter Zaffino, AIG’s Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, and will be an integral part of AIG’s Executive Leadership Team. She will lead AIG’s global human resources organization, overseeing talent acquisition and management, learning and development, compensation and benefits, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as global corporate citizenship initiatives.
