Shivananda Koteshwar has taken on the role of Managing Director at Astera Labs’ newly launched research and development center in Bengaluru. A seasoned executive with close to three decades of experience, Shivananda Koteshwar brings a wealth of knowledge from his previous leadership roles, including Vice President of the EDA Group in South Asia at Synopsys and senior positions at MediaTek. At Astera Labs, he will focus on driving advancements in the company’s semiconductor-based connectivity solutions.
Shivananda Koteshwar, a Bengaluru native, will lead the company’s efforts to develop cutting-edge technologies aimed at supporting AI infrastructure. His expertise in the semiconductor sector is expected to help scale operations in India, enhancing Astera Labs’ Intelligent Connectivity Platform. This platform is crucial for enabling large-scale AI deployments in cloud environments.
He has a strong academic background, with a post-graduate degree in Artificial Intelligence from India School of Business, Hyderabad, a Bachelor’s in Electronics and Communication from Malnad College of Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Management from Bangalore University. His leadership is expected to strengthen the company’s collaboration with local universities and industry to push innovation in silicon technology and AI connectivity.
The Bengaluru facility will serve as a central hub for advanced product development, emphasizing innovations in silicon and connectivity solutions.
