Ruturaj Govilkar has taken on the role of Managing Director for South Asia at Mott MacDonald, bringing with him three decades of global experience in engineering and project management. His new position involves overseeing a diverse team delivering critical projects across sectors such as transport, energy, and water in the South Asian region, particularly India. Mott MacDonald, a global engineering and management consultancy, is known for its technical expertise and focus on sustainable, transformative outcomes, aligning well with Ruturaj’s professional ethos.
Before joining Mott MacDonald, Ruturaj had a long and impactful career at Black & Veatch, where he held leadership positions for many years. As the Country Manager and Managing Director for India and the SAARC region, he was responsible for overseeing a large team and managing projects in oil and gas, power, water, and sustainability solutions. His contributions in driving growth and managing business operations in these areas were key to the company’s success in the region.
Ruturaj’s career also includes roles at Thermax Limited, where he headed proposals for the Power division, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, where he managed export power projects across Europe and Asia. His extensive experience across these industries, combined with his passion for sustainable growth and innovation, makes him a valuable addition to Mott MacDonald as they continue to expand their footprint in South Asia.
