Michael Moebius has officially taken on the role of President and Chief Procurement & Supply Chain Officer at Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt. Ltd. (DICV). With a career spanning over three decades in the automotive industry, Michael’s extensive background and leadership expertise will be instrumental in advancing DICV’s procurement and supply chain operations. He steps into this role as the successor of Muthu Maruthachalam C, with an aim to further elevate DICV’s strategic approach to global procurement and supply chain management.
Before joining DICV, Michael held the role of Head of Quality Management at Daimler Truck Asia (DTA) in Japan. In this position, he led quality initiatives across Mitsubishi Fuso, DICV, PABCO, and multiple CKD assembly locations worldwide. His efforts in implementing quality-focused strategies, reducing warranty costs, and integrating innovative tools like Proactive Sensing for early failure detection have earned him recognition within the Daimler organization and beyond.
Michael’s career with Daimler began in 1990, and over the years, he has contributed to numerous divisions across different regions, including Mercedes-Benz Cars and Daimler Buses. His international assignments have taken him to markets such as Brazil, Vietnam, Iran, and India, providing him with diverse operational insights. He played a key role at DICV in establishing rigorous quality standards, which strengthened the company’s reputation for excellence in product and process management.
