Manika Wadhwa Appointed as Industry Director at Teads

Manika Wadhwa has been appointed as the Industry Director at Teads, a global leader in digital advertising. With years of experience in the media industry, she brings a wealth of expertise in solutions selling across digital, broadcast, and events. In her new role, Manika will focus on leading revenue generation efforts for the organization, specifically in the West region of India. Her ability to drive strategic business growth and build strong relationships with key stakeholders has earned her a reputation as a results-driven leader. Her leadership will be pivotal in advancing Teads’ growth and presence in the competitive digital advertising market.

Prior to her appointment at Teads, Manika served as the Sales Lead for West at Disney Star, where she was responsible for monetizing ESPN Digital platforms such as ESPNcricinfo and ESPN multi-sports. Over her tenure at Disney Star, she successfully led digital monetization efforts through consultative value-based offerings, enabling significant revenue generation and client satisfaction. Her role involved leading cross-functional teams and collaborating closely with advertisers to create impactful solutions that aligned with their business goals.

Manika’s career journey has also included several other prestigious positions in the media industry. She was the National Sales Head for The Economist Group in India, where she led ad sales across content, advertising, and events. Her approach focused on consultative selling and delivering value-based solutions to both B2B and B2C clients. Before that, she served as the Regional Sales Head for West and South at The Economist, further solidifying her expertise in regional and national sales leadership.

In addition to her role at The Economist Group, Manika Wadhwa has held significant positions at Sony Pictures Networks India, where she focused on monetizing the digital sales of the Sony LIV OTT platform and LIV Sports. She worked on brand solutions, gaming partnerships, and monetization of content through high-profile properties such as Kaun Banega Crorepati and Indian Idol Junior. These roles allowed her to deepen her expertise in digital media and sales, helping brands leverage digital platforms to drive revenue and engagement.

Earlier in her career, Manika gained valuable experience at AIDEM Ventures (formerly NDTV Media), where she worked as an Assistant Manager in Digital Ad Sales. She was involved in the ad sales for prominent platforms like Economist Online and Microsoft Advertising. Manika’s deep understanding of the digital landscape and her ability to drive revenue for brands across diverse platforms have been instrumental in her career progression.

Manika holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Jesus & Mary College, Delhi University, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Marketing & Finance) from the Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management. Her extensive experience in digital sales, client relationships, and revenue generation makes her an invaluable asset to Teads as she embarks on this new leadership role.
