Rituparna Ghosh Joins Citi as Vice President – Strategic Communications

Rituparna Ghosh has joined Citi as the Vice President of Strategic Communications. In this key role, Rituparna will play an instrumental part in shaping Citi’s global communications strategy, driving its messaging across regions, and strengthening its relationships with stakeholders. Her extensive expertise in corporate communications is expected to add significant value to Citi’s efforts in enhancing its brand presence and reputation worldwide.

Before her appointment at Citi, Rituparna served as the Head of Corporate Communications for South Asia and ASEAN, along with overseeing CSR initiatives in ASEAN, at Linde. During her time at Linde, she spearheaded the development of communications strategies that effectively communicated the company’s vision and strengthened its position in the region. She also played a key role in managing corporate social responsibility programs, demonstrating her capability to align business goals with sustainable community initiatives.

Rituparna’s career also includes notable positions at Unilever, EY, and Fidelity Business Services India, where she honed her skills in business development, strategic communications, and process improvement. At each of these organizations, she led various initiatives aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing internal and external communications.

Her background spans across a diverse range of industries, from consumer goods and financial services to technology and consulting. Rituparna’s ability to adapt and thrive in these varied sectors is a testament to her versatility and strategic approach. Her previous work has included managing high-profile media relations, internal communication strategies, and crisis management, further demonstrating her leadership in complex communication landscapes.

Rituparna holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on advertising and marketing from Wigan & Leigh College in the UK. This academic background, combined with her professional experience, has equipped her with a strong foundation in both creative and strategic aspects of communications, making her a valuable asset to Citi.

In her new role, Rituparna Ghosh will work closely with Citi’s senior leadership to develop and execute communications strategies that align with the company’s objectives and enhance its corporate image. Her work will span across various channels, including media relations, digital communications, and internal engagement, ensuring that Citi’s messages resonate with its diverse global audience.
