Vivek Mittal has been named the Executive Director – Legal & Corporate Affairs at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), set to assume his role in March 2025. He succeeds Dev Bajpai, who announced his early retirement earlier this year.
Currently serving as the Global General Counsel at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited, Vivek Mittal brings over 25 years of extensive expertise in legal, compliance, ethics, and corporate affairs. His career spans leadership roles in prominent companies, including Danaher Corporation, Lupin Limited, Reliance, Radico Khaitan, India Bulls Group, Caparo India Operations, and Mount Shivalik Industries.
In his new capacity, Vivek will oversee HUL’s legal and corporate affairs functions as part of the Management Committee. Known for his strategic approach and commitment to ethical practices, he has successfully led dynamic legal teams across diverse industries. His leadership will further enhance HUL’s focus on regulatory excellence and corporate governance.
Vivek Mittal’s strong academic credentials include a Ph.D., a law degree (LL.B.), a postgraduate degree in commerce (M.Com), and membership in the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). These qualifications equip him to address complex corporate challenges and lead with a holistic perspective.
