Rohini Venkateswaran has been appointed as the new Chief Sales Officer at Procter & Gamble India, effective January 1, 2025. She will be succeeding Sairamana Ponugoti, who is retiring after nearly two decades with the company. Venkateswaran’s appointment continues her long and successful career with P&G, where she has gained extensive experience in sales strategy, distributor management, and modern trade across various geographies.
Joining P&G India in 2005 as a sales manager, Venkateswaran has held leadership roles in both India and internationally, including in the USA and Dubai. Her most recent role was Vice President & Country Manager for P&G Gulf – East Gulf, overseeing operations in Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, and the UAE. In this position, she was responsible for sales strategies and planning, contributing significantly to the growth of P&G in the region.
A graduate of SP Jain Institute of Management in Mumbai, Venkateswaran brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role. She expressed excitement about returning to India and emphasized her commitment to helping P&G India strengthen its presence in the market and continue to meet the evolving needs of Indian consumers.
