Prudential plc announced the appointment of Amar Joshi as the new CEO of its India operations, Prudential, India. With a rich background in business transformation, bancassurance, and insurance, Amar brings over two decades of industry experience to his new role.
Before joining Prudential, Amar Joshi served as the Head of Business Transformation & Bancassurance at ICICI Lombard from November 2022 to June 2024. During his tenure, he was instrumental in driving strategic initiatives that significantly enhanced the company’s business processes and customer engagement.
Prior to his role at ICICI Lombard, Amar co-founded a health insurance company, where he worked from January 2022 to October 2022. This venture was a personal endeavor aimed at setting up a specialized health insurance provider, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and deep understanding of the insurance sector.
Amar also held a pivotal role at SBI General Insurance as the Chief Business Officer from February 2019 to September 2021. In this capacity, he led the company’s business strategies, focusing on expansion and innovation within the insurance market.
Amar Joshi’s appointment marks a significant milestone for Prudential, India, as the company aims to strengthen its market position and expand its product offerings under his guidance.
