His career, marked by leadership roles in companies like BYLD Group, NIS Sparta, and Reliance Retail, underscores his deep expertise in talent and performance enhancement.
Before joining the American Management Association, Anand served as the Group CEO at BYLD Group, one of South Asia’s largest Learning and Development solution providers. For nearly nine years, he led the company through significant expansion and established it as a key player in L&OD. At BYLD, Dewan focused on integrating learning solutions that supported businesses in achieving tangible and measurable results. His leadership was instrumental in creating customized training programs that catered to diverse organizational needs, from leadership development to experiential learning.
Anand’s career also includes an impactful tenure as Chief Business Officer at NIS Sparta, where he oversaw business excellence and global service delivery. During this period, he revitalized the NIS Sparta brand, a pioneer in India’s talent transformation space. His ability to develop tailored solutions for business growth and sustainability earned him recognition as a leader in strategic learning initiatives. His work at NIS Sparta involved rebuilding the brand’s learning architecture and expanding its impact on India’s soft skills training market.
In his role as Senior Vice President and Head of the Business Impact Group at Kotak Mahindra Old Mutual Life Insurance, Anand designed and developed a comprehensive learning architecture that aligned with the insurance sector’s unique needs. His work helped Kotak Mahindra achieve the Golden Peacock National Training Award on their first attempt in 2014. Under his leadership, the training and development programs at Kotak became industry benchmarks, focusing on a holistic approach to talent transformation that supported organizational goals and employee growth.
Anand’s diverse experience also includes a role as Vice President of the Performance Enhancement Group at Reliance Retail, where he played a critical role in talent supply and learning for both the telecom and retail sectors. His efforts contributed to the creation of an agile talent pipeline and an effective learning infrastructure, setting a foundation for long-term organizational growth. His innovative approaches to people development and his strategic insight were vital to Reliance’s expansion into new markets.
Additionally, Anand’s career began with early roles in Sales and Marketing at The Modi Group and Vintron Motorola, eventually transitioning to learning and development. As a founding member of DTCI – India and the Global Service Delivery Head for NIIT’s Strategic Business
