Bithal Bhardwaj Appointed CEO of Gramax at GMR Group

Bithal Bhardwaj has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Gramax, the dedicated cybersecurity division of GMR Group. This significant move follows his successful tenure as the Group Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at GMR, where he spearheaded the company’s cybersecurity vision and strategy across its diverse portfolio. Bhardwaj’s new role as CEO reflects his leadership capabilities and deep expertise in cybersecurity, positioning him to guide Gramax to new heights in an increasingly complex digital security landscape.

With over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, Bhardwaj has built an impressive career marked by leadership roles at major organizations. Prior to joining GMR, he spent 13 years at GE, where he held a variety of positions in the cybersecurity field. His most recent role at GE was CISO for Global Regions, overseeing cybersecurity operations across a wide range of geographic areas, including Latin America, Russia, Europe, MENAT, Sub-Saharan Africa, Asia Pacific, South Asia, and Greater China. This vast global experience has equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity challenges on an international scale.

Bhardwaj’s career at GE was defined by his ability to manage complex cybersecurity functions across multiple regions and markets. He was responsible for establishing and maintaining the company’s cybersecurity infrastructure, ensuring the protection of its global operations. Before assuming his role as CISO for Global Regions, Bhardwaj served as CISO for South Asia & China, and also led the India Cybersecurity hub. These roles honed his ability to craft and execute strategic cybersecurity initiatives across different regions, making him a seasoned leader in the field.

Earlier in his career, Bhardwaj was a Principal Consultant at GENPACT, where he further developed his expertise in cybersecurity consulting and strategy. This role allowed him to work with various clients to implement effective security measures tailored to the needs of diverse industries. Bhardwaj’s time at GENPACT was instrumental in shaping his approach to cybersecurity, focusing on delivering strategic solutions to address evolving security threats.

In his new position as CEO of Gramax, Bhardwaj is set to lead the company in expanding its cybersecurity solutions and solidifying its reputation as a leader in the cybersecurity space.
