Del Monte Foods Appoints Abhinav Kapoor as CEO

Del Monte Foods, a prominent joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Del Monte Pacific Ltd, has announced the appointment of Abhinav Kapoor as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Kapoor’s appointment is effective immediately, and he is set to lead the Senior Leadership Team at Del Monte Foods, overseeing all operational functions and guiding the company’s long-term strategic direction.

Abhinav Kapoor brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having previously served as Vice-President of Sales at VIP Industries, where he was responsible for Profit and Loss Management, overseeing multiple channels, and driving Sales IT initiatives.

Prior to his tenure at VIP Industries, Kapoor held the position of Business Head of the Foods & Snacks Division at Cavinkare. His career also includes significant roles at industry leaders such as Britannia Industries, Mondelez, and Marico.

Harjeet Kohli, Joint Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises, expressed confidence in Kapoor’s ability to enhance Del Monte Foods’ operations in India across both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sectors.

In his capacity as CEO, Kapoor’s primary focus will be on strengthening the Del Monte brand by optimizing the product portfolio and refining the distribution network. The company aims to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products to its customers, aligning with its commitment to excellence in consumer satisfaction and market leadership.
