Del Monte Foods has appointed Abhinav Kapoor as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective immediately. This strategic move aims to accelerate growth in the Indian FMCG market and solidify Del Monte Foods’ position within the industry. Kapoor, leveraging his extensive experience in sales and distribution across the FMCG sector, will lead the company’s senior leadership team and spearhead long-term strategic initiatives outlined by the board.
Kapoor’s career trajectory includes pivotal roles such as Vice President of Sales at VIP Industries and Business Head of the Foods & Snacks Division at Cavinkare. His leadership at these organizations, along with previous tenures at prominent firms like Britannia Industries, Mondelez, and Marico, underscores his deep-rooted expertise in driving business expansion and operational excellence.
Harjeet Kohli, Joint Managing Director of Bharti Enterprises, expressed confidence in Kapoor’s ability to enhance operational platforms and foster growth in both B2B and B2C segments. This appointment highlights Del Monte Foods’ commitment to bolstering its leadership capabilities and reinforcing its market presence through strategic leadership and product portfolio consolidation.
With a focus on elevating the Del Monte brand, Kapoor will streamline distribution networks to ensure seamless delivery of high-quality products. His academic background includes an MBA from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune, and a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Symbiosis College for Arts & Commerce.
