NIIT Limited, a prominent figure in skills and talent development, has named Pankaj Jathar as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Pankaj succeeds Sapnesh Lalla, who now transitions to a non-executive director role at NIIT Ltd while continuing as CEO of NIIT Learning Systems (NIIT MTS).
Pankaj boasts more than 25 years of experience in global corporations, beginning his career as a Management Trainee at NIIT and later making substantial contributions at Tata Interactive Systems in London. His tenure at Accenture as a solution architect in the banking and finance sector further enriched his expertise. He also played a pivotal role in the launch of Amazon India and subsequently served as CEO of Prione, Amazon’s joint venture with Catamaran, since 2020.
Rajendra S. Pawar, Chairman and Co-founder of NIIT Limited, expressed excitement about Pankaj Jathar’s return to the NIIT family, noting that his extensive background in technology-driven industries positions him as an ideal leader for NIIT Ltd. Pankaj completed his BE from Pune University, pursued GNIIT in Pune, and earned an MBA from IIM Calcutta in 1998.
