Ramanathan Rajamani has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Air India SATS Airport Services (AISATS), effective from November 14, 2024. This marks his return to the role after previously serving as CEO from 2018 to 2021. Rajamani brings over two decades of leadership experience in operations, innovation, and service excellence to the position.
Rajamani began his career in 2001 as an engineer with the Defence Science and Technology Agency, where he played a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability of fighter jets for the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF). In 2006, he transitioned to Indeco Engineers, where he led several turnkey projects for commercial and military ground operations.
In 2011, Rajamani joined SATS Ltd., a leading ground handling and aviation services provider, and played a key role in driving operational excellence. During his tenure, he led a fully owned subsidiary of SATS to win Singapore’s National Productivity Award in 2016. He has held several senior positions, including CEO of SATS Security Services, Singapore, and Head of Projects & New Services Delivery for the Asia-Pacific region.
Rajamani holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Science in Logistics from the National University of Singapore. He also completed an Executive MBA from Nanyang Technological University and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). His extensive experience will enable him to further strengthen AISATS’ position in India’s growing aviation sector.
