Ravi Ahuja, currently serving as the chairman of Global Television and chief operating officer (COO) of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE), is set to take over as the company’s chief executive officer (CEO). Ahuja will succeed Tony Vinciquerra, who has held the CEO position earlier.
Ravi Ahuja, who joined SPE earlier, has played a pivotal role in overseeing all production operations within Sony Pictures Television and managing the studio’s ventures in India. Before joining SPE, Ravi Ahuja held leadership positions at Walt Disney Television, Fox Networks Group, and Virgin Entertainment Group, bringing a wealth of experience in global entertainment operations. He will now report directly to Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman and CEO of Sony Group Corporation, and Hiroki Totoki, the company’s President, COO, and CFO.
Ravi Ahuja joining as CEO is seen as part of Sony Pictures’ strategy for continued growth and innovation in the competitive media landscape, positioning the company for a new phase of success under his leadership.
