Sanjay Singhal Appointed CEO of Wagh Bakri Tea Group

The Wagh Bakri Tea Group has announced the appointment of Sanjay Singhal as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Singhal, who previously served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at ITC, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having played a pivotal role in the growth of ITC’s dairy and beverages sector over his eight-year tenure.

Singhal’s career spans several prominent roles across major corporations. He began his journey at Lakme Lever and went on to hold key positions at Hindustan Unilever, Yum! Restaurants International, GE Capital, Aditya Birla Capital, and Dabur India. At Aditya Birla Group, Singhal served as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), where he was responsible for marketing and public relations for Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund. During his time at Dabur India, Singhal managed a substantial portfolio in the foods sector, overseeing brands such as Real, Hajmola, and Honey, and handling P&L responsibilities for a business valued at approximately ₹2000 Crore (USD 320 million).

In addition to his marketing expertise, Singhal has extensive experience in process improvements, M&A discussions, and regulatory affairs. His leadership in the skincare business at Dabur further showcases his versatility and ability to drive growth in diverse sectors.

Singhal’s appointment as CEO marks a significant milestone for Wagh Bakri Tea Group as it continues to strengthen its leadership and expand its market presence in India and beyond.
