Vedanta Aluminium, a leading aluminium production company based in Odisha, has announced the appointment of Ravi Paliwal as the Chief Executive Officer of Ash Management. In his new role, Paliwal will oversee the ash management operations, focusing on leveraging technology and innovative processes to enhance resource efficiency.
Ravi Paliwal’s responsibilities will include exploring new avenues for utilizing the significant by-product of thermal power generation, thereby promoting opportunities within the circular economy. Additionally, he will manage the ash operations for Hindustan Zinc Limited and Vedanta’s power sector entities, including Talwandi Sabo Power Plant, Meenakshi Energy, and Athena.
Bringing over 27 years of extensive industry experience, Paliwal previously served as the Senior Vice President of Contract, Commercials, and Materials at Bajaj Energy. His career also includes notable leadership roles at Nabha Power (Larsen & Toubro) and JSW Energy. Paliwal’s expertise spans vendor development, supply chain management, service contracts, and procurement functions, which are expected to significantly benefit Vedanta Aluminium’s operations.
