Amit Sharma Joins Gokaldas Exports Limited as Chief Human Resources Officer

Amit Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Gokaldas Exports Limited, a globally recognized apparel manufacturer. In his new role, Sharma will be instrumental in shaping and streamlining the HR function, aligning it with the company’s strategic objectives.

Sharma brings a wealth of experience in HR leadership to Gokaldas Exports. Prior to this appointment, he served as Vice President and Head of HR for India at Volvo Group. There, he provided strategic HR leadership across multiple business units, manufacturing operations, and Global Competency Centres. His tenure at Volvo was marked by significant achievements, including the rejuvenation of company culture, enhancement of HR team competency, and the implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives.

Before his role at Volvo Group, Sharma was the Director of Human Resources and India HR Head at TE Connectivity. He managed HR operations for multiple business units and a global shared service center, crafting an India HR strategy focused on employer branding, capability building, and employee engagement.

Sharma’s career also includes leadership positions at Philips, Johnson & Johnson, Indian Oil Corp Limited, and BILT. Across these roles, he has consistently demonstrated a commitment to improving organizational efficiency, developing talent, and fostering a positive work environment.

Amit Sharma’s extensive experience and strategic vision are expected to drive HR excellence at Gokaldas Exports, supporting the company’s mission to maintain its distinctive recognition for product, performance, processes, and people.
