Anuradha Razdan Appointed Chief HR Officer and Global Inclusion Officer at Unilever

Anuradha Razdan has assumed the position of Chief Human Resource Officer for Beauty and Wellbeing at Unilever. In addition to this role, she will also serve as the Global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Officer for Unilever, based in London, UK.

Razdan has built her entire career at Unilever. She began as a management trainee in the Unilever Future Leaders Programme in May 1999. Within 11 months, she was appointed Sales HR Manager for the Western Region, stationed in Mumbai. Two years later, she advanced to the role of HR Manager at Hindustan Unilever’s (HUL) Bombay factory. In this position, she led HR for HUL’s oldest factory, handling significant restructuring activities, including negotiations with a well-established trade union. From April 2004 to March 2008, she held the role of HR Business Partner for the supply chain at HUL and Unilever, South Asia.

In April 2008, Razdan was promoted to HR Business Partner for Home and Personal Care and Foods and Beverages at HUL. Less than two years later, she became General Manager for Leadership Development at HUL and Unilever, South Asia. During the next three and a half years, she was responsible for overseeing talent management and leadership development, including talent acquisition, management development, corporate learning, and organizational change for the South Asia region.

In May 2013, Razdan transitioned to the role of Strategy Director to the CHRO at Unilever in London. Within two years, she was promoted to Vice President of Human Resources for Beauty and Personal Care, Unilever, based in London. In June 2015, she became Vice President of HR for Home Care and Head of Global Talent Attraction at Unilever. In 2019, she returned to Mumbai as Executive Director and CHRO for Hindustan Unilever and Unilever, South Asia.

With her recent promotion, Razdan, an alumna of Fergusson College and XLRI Jamshedpur, will be based in London once again. In a social media post, she expressed her excitement about being part of a company that manages iconic brands in hair, skin, health, wellbeing, and prestige categories, serving consumers worldwide. She also shared her enthusiasm for contributing to the company’s global equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts, a cause she is deeply passionate about, advocating for greater inclusion in business and communities.
