Deepa Subbaiah B has recently been appointed as the AVP & Head, People and Culture – APAC & India at Amadeus. She brings a wealth of experience in human resources and strategic leadership to her new role, with a particular focus on talent management and organizational development. At Amadeus, Deepa aims to implement impactful HR strategies and initiatives that will enhance the company’s people and culture practices.
Deepa’s career in HR leadership spans various industries and prestigious roles. Before joining Amadeus, she was the Senior Director – HR (Product & Engineering) at Freshworks for nearly two years. In this position, she was pivotal in crafting and executing HR strategies that bolstered the growth and efficiency of the engineering and product divisions. Her strategic insight and leadership significantly contributed to Freshworks’ success during her tenure.
Prior to Freshworks, Deepa served as a Human Resources Consultant (HRBP) – Engineering at Cisco for almost four years. In this role, she provided strategic HR support to engineering teams, fostering performance and development initiatives. Her ability to drive HR strategies in a technical environment demonstrated her versatility and strategic acumen.
Deepa’s experience also includes a brief tenure as General Manager (HR) – Industrial, Consumer & Central Business Groups at 3M, where she managed HR operations and strategies for various business units. Additionally, she spent over four years at Wipro Limited, holding several leadership roles such as General Manager & Head HR – All Service Lines, India, and Head HR – Global Infrastructure Services, India & Middle East. At Wipro, she was responsible for developing and executing HR strategies that were closely aligned with business objectives, thereby supporting organizational growth.
