Dr. Sanika Kerkar has been named Sanofi’s new Global People Business Partner for Business Operations (Medical & Events / Manufacturing & Supply). Bringing over 15 years of extensive experience in human resources and strategic leadership, Dr. Kerkar is set to enhance HR functions across multiple regions. She has been with Sanofi for five years, previously serving as the People & Culture Business Partner (Head HR) at the Sanofi Global Hub in Mumbai, India, where she led HR strategies, talent management, and leadership development for South Asia.
Before this role, Dr. Kerkar was responsible for Talent Management in South Asia for nearly four years, focusing on performance and leadership development and implementing strategic talent initiatives. Her career at Teva Pharmaceuticals saw her as the HR Business Partner for R&D, overseeing HR strategy and operations for 650 employees, and as the Associate Director for Talent, Performance & Leadership, driving key talent and engagement strategies.
Dr. Kerkar’s earlier positions include roles at ACC Limited as Deputy General Manager for L&D, Talent Management & Employee Engagement, and Chief Manager for Learning & Development. She was instrumental in creating on-the-job training programs and implementing coaching methodologies. At RPG Life Sciences Ltd., she led talent acquisition and employer branding initiatives as the Head of Talent Acquisition/ Employer Branding, building robust teams and induction programs.
