Cedar Electronics, a global supplier of connected automotive and consumer electronics solutions, proudly announces the appointment of Farah Ali as the new Head of Human Resources. With an extensive background in HR management and a proven track record in transforming HR operations, Farah is set to drive the company’s HR strategy and support its growth initiatives.
Before joining Cedar Electronics, Farah served as Manager, Global HR at CADDi from August 2023 to June 2024. In this role, she spearheaded a rapid transformation of the company’s HR operations, transitioning from an EOR-Deel Inc system to the implementation of the Namely HRIS within three months. Her efforts in evaluating and establishing benefits plans, navigating open enrollment, enhancing employee satisfaction, and setting up a 401K program significantly improved the HR infrastructure. Additionally, Farah revamped the hiring process and updated policies to better align with organizational objectives, showcasing her ability to drive strategic HR initiatives.
Farah’s earlier career includes a significant tenure at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she spent over two years leading various HR functions. As Human Resources Manager, she managed recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and compliance. In her role as Program Specialist – HR, she directed tax withholding processes, benefits administration, and employment regulations for foreign nationals. Her comprehensive approach to HR management ensured smooth operations and compliance with regulations, underscoring her versatility and expertise in managing diverse HR functions.
At Symmetry Biosciences, Inc., Farah served as Program Manager – HR & Accounting for over eight years. In this role, she led and executed all HR functions at the start-up, ensuring adherence to policies and regulations. Her responsibilities included preparing and reviewing critical documentation and HR policies for accuracy and compliance, which played a crucial role in the company’s smooth operations and regulatory compliance. Farah’s experience at Symmetry Biosciences provided her with a strong foundation in managing HR functions in a start-up environment.
Farah began her career as an Auditor at Deloitte in the Greater Chicago Area, where she reviewed financial information, performed audits, and recommended improvements to ensure the effectiveness of organizational internal controls. This early experience provided her with a strong analytical foundation and an understanding of organizational operations from a financial perspective, which has been instrumental in her HR career.
