ICICI Bank, a leading Indian multinational bank and financial services company, has announced the appointment of Soumendra Mattagajasingh as its new Group Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). Effective from May 1, 2024, Mattagajasingh succeeds T K Srirang, who will transition to a new role as Joint Managing Director at ICICI Securities.
Mattagajasingh brings over two decades of experience to his new role, having served in various capacities within ICICI Bank. Most recently, he held the position of Head HR – Retail Banking and Practice Head – Employee Relations. His extensive tenure with the organization demonstrates his deep understanding of its culture and operations.
In line with the organizational restructuring, ICICI Bank Limited announced several senior management personnel changes during its board meeting on April 27, 2024. This included the exclusion of several individuals and the inclusion of Soumendra Mattagajasingh in the category of senior management personnel effective May 1, 2024.
Prior to joining ICICI Bank, Mattagajasingh gained valuable experience at HPCL and NMDC. He holds a Masters’ degree in Industrial Relations from Behrampur University and has accumulated over 27 years of overall experience in the field of Human Resources.
