Pooja Velhal Joins Sanghvi Movers as Chief People Officer

In a strategic move to enhance its leadership team, Sanghvi Movers has appointed Pooja Velhal as its new Chief People Officer. In her role, Velhal will oversee brand marketing, corporate communications, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, in addition to her primary focus on human resources.

Velhal’s appointment is part of Sanghvi Movers’ commitment to fostering a strong organizational culture and improving employee capabilities, competencies, and collaboration across the company.

Before joining Sanghvi Movers, Velhal was the Head of Global HR at Sundaram Clayton Limited, where she led human resources strategies across India, Europe, and the USA from February 2023 to April 2024. Her tenure was marked by significant efforts in workforce transformation, strategic HR initiatives, and aligning HR practices with the company’s growth objectives.

Velhal’s career spans notable leadership roles, including nearly eight years at Schaeffler. Her final position there was Head of Learning & Development, Talent, and Organizational Development-Culture for the Asia-Pacific region, where she implemented competency management frameworks and championed diversity and inclusion.

Her extensive experience also includes serving as the Human Resources Director at GUS Global Services India Pvt. Ltd. and as an HR Partner for the Commercial K&B India Business Unit at Kohler Co., among other key positions.

Pooja Velhal’s diverse and rich background in human resources management is expected to bring valuable insights and leadership to Sanghvi Movers as the company continues to evolve and expand its market presence.
