Richa Sachdeva Chatterjee Joins ManipalCigna Health Insurance as Chief Human Resources Officer

Richa Sachdeva Chatterjee has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at ManipalCigna Health Insurance Company Ltd., marking an exciting new chapter in her illustrious HR career. With almost two decades of experience in human resources, she brings a wealth of expertise in leadership, talent management, and organizational transformation to this role. ManipalCigna, a joint venture between the Manipal Group, one of India’s largest healthcare chains, and Cigna Corporation, a Fortune 500 global health services company, is poised to benefit from her strategic insights and passion for driving employee and organizational growth.

Before joining ManipalCigna, Richa served as President and CHRO at India Infoline Finance Limited (IIFL), where she oversaw the HR function for over thousands of employees. During her tenure, she successfully implemented several initiatives that enhanced employee engagement, productivity, and retention. Her leadership at IIFL earned the organization multiple prestigious accolades, such as the Great Place to Work recognition and the W.E. Global Employees’ Choice Award. Richa’s ability to drive large-scale cultural and organizational changes was pivotal in the company’s success in the non-banking financial sector.

Prior to IIFL, Richa held various senior HR roles at Network18 Media & Investments, Viacom18, and The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). At Network18, she was responsible for HR strategy across its digital, print, and publishing businesses, while her tenure at Viacom18 saw her leading people management initiatives as Senior Director. At BCG, she managed a wide range of HR processes, including performance management and talent acquisition, helping to shape the future leadership of the company.

Richa’s vast experience across different industries, combined with her coaching certifications, makes her a visionary leader in the HR field. As she embarks on her journey with ManipalCigna, she is committed to building high-performing teams and creating a work environment where employees can thrive and contribute to the organization’s long-term success.
