WhiteOak Capital Management has announced the appointment of Sankha Bhowmick as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) on July 3, 2024. Bhowmick, an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad, brings with him nearly 27 years of extensive experience in the human resources domain.
Before joining WhiteOak Capital, Bhowmick played a pivotal role at Goldman Sachs, where he significantly expanded the engineering talent footprint in India. He began his tenure at Goldman Sachs in 2018 as Vice President and Chief of Staff for India technology management and strategy, overseeing the growth of technology teams from 1,800 to over 6,000 people. In 2022, he was promoted to Vice President for global strategy, reflecting his strategic impact on the company.
Bhowmick’s career includes leadership roles as CHRO at Mahindra and Mahindra Financial Services, Bristlecone Inc., and Barista Coffee. Additionally, he has held significant HR leadership positions at Bennett Coleman and Company (The Times Group) and Star Television (NewsCorp Inc.). His vast experience in managing large and diverse talent pools makes him a valuable addition to WhiteOak Capital.
