Suruchi Bhatia has been named the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at RLG by Reconomy, a leading provider of environmental compliance and circular economy solutions. In her new role, Bhatia will focus on driving cultural transformation and enhancing the internal talent pipeline at the company.
Bhatia transitions to RLG from Azure Power India, where she served as General Manager-HR. During her two years and nine months tenure at Azure, she was the lead-HR business partner and head of the Center of Excellence (CoE) for performance management systems.
Bhatia’s educational background includes a degree in electrical engineering from Punjab Technical University (2002) and an MBA in human resource management from the University Business School (2005).
Her career in HR began at IFFCO-TOKIO Insurance Services, where she initially joined as an executive in training and development. After two years, she was promoted to senior executive in the same department. In 2008, she moved to KEC International as an assistant manager-HR, handling a generalist HR profile for nearly two years.
Later that year, she joined Omax Autos as head-corporate HR, where she streamlined HR processes for about 550 white-collar employees over a five-year period. A brief tenure at ASA Industries followed before she began her association with Azure Power in November 2021 as deputy general manager-HR, eventually becoming general manager-HR.
With over 19 years of experience, Bhatia specializes in talent management and retention initiatives that support both lateral and vertical talent movement. Known for her empathetic and problem-solving approach, her expertise is expected to be a significant asset to RLG by Reconomy, which is headquartered in Munich and focuses on Extended Producer Obligations (EPR) plans for manufacturers and producers.
Suruchi Bhatia expressed her enthusiasm for leveraging the strengths of brand Reconomy, with her primary goal being to build a strong organizational culture and establish RLG as an Employer of Choice.
