In a recent announcement, TIAA, the esteemed Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association of America, has appointed Renu Vijayanand as its Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) for its India operations.
In her new role, Renu will spearhead strategic leadership for the India People Team, focusing on transformational initiatives, organizational culture enhancement, and strategic workforce planning.

With over three decades of extensive experience in global organizations spanning Banking, Financial Services, and Technology sectors, Renu brings a wealth of expertise in shaping human capital strategies. Her leadership encompasses strategic workforce planning, organization design, talent development, engagement, performance, and total rewards, all aimed at aligning with organizational objectives.
Prior to joining TIAA, Renu held key leadership roles at MUFG, where she served as the Global Co-Head of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP). Her illustrious career includes notable stints at Crédit Agricole CIB, Lehman Brothers, Capgemini, Tech Pacific India Ltd. (now Ingram Micro), Larsen & Toubro, and Lakmé Ltd.
Renu is an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where she completed her Post-Graduate Programme in Management (MBA). She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics from the University of Mumbai.
