Sahil Shah Appointed as Fund Manager and CIO at Equirus

Equirus has announced Sahil Shah as the new Fund Manager of the Equirus Long Horizon Fund (ELHF) and Chief Investment Officer (CIO). With over 17 years of experience in the financial industry, Shah brings extensive expertise and a proven track record to his new roles at Equirus.

Before joining Equirus, Shah was a fund manager at Edelweiss Small Cap Fund, managing assets worth INR 3,300 crores. He also co-managed the Midcap and Multicap funds at Edelweiss. Known for his consistent success in managing mutual funds and PMS, particularly in the small and mid-cap markets, Shah’s analytical skills make him a significant asset to Equirus.

Shah is a CFA (ICFAI) holder and has a broad background that includes experience as both an analyst on the sell-side and a manager of mutual funds and PMS on the buy-side, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the market.

Ajay Garg, Managing Director of Equirus, expressed his enthusiasm about Shah’s appointment. As CIO, Shah will oversee the Asset Management business and lead the Equirus Long Horizon Fund. He will also provide strategic leadership to other Equity funds, involving investment, research, and management, while collaborating closely with other fund managers.

Shah’s appointment underscores Equirus’s ongoing commitment to delivering top-tier financial services and investment solutions to their clients.
