Umasankar Nistala has joined Publicis Groupe as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Re:Sources, the company’s global shared service division. In his new role, Umasankar will be responsible for leading Publicis’ IT teams worldwide while overseeing Re:Sources, the backbone of the organization’s systems and tools that ensures consistency and fosters synergies across the Groupe. He will be based in New York and will report directly to Arthur Sadoun, CEO & Chairman of Publicis Groupe.
Before joining Publicis, Umasankar was the CIO for the Financial Institutions Group at Fiserv, where he focused on technology leadership within the financial services sector. His career includes significant leadership roles at top-tier organizations such as BNP Paribas and JPMorgan Chase, where he led various technology and transformation initiatives.
At Publicis, Umasankar’s expertise will be pivotal in enhancing the company’s technological capabilities. His role is integral to driving operational efficiency, advancing digital transformation, and ensuring strategic alignment across the Groupe. With a track record of leading successful technology transformations, Umasankar’s leadership will play a key role in strengthening Publicis’ technological edge and operational excellence.
