Bajaj Consumer Care, one of India’s oldest FMCG companies renowned for its hair, beauty, and personal care products, has appointed Sanath R. Pulikkal as its Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). This strategic move comes as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its market presence and innovate in the competitive FMCG sector.
Sanath R. Pulikkal brings over 20 years of extensive experience in marketing, with a proven track record of successfully managing prominent brands amidst challenging market landscapes. Prior to joining Bajaj Consumer Care, Pulikkal served as the General Manager of Marketing – Home Care at Dabur India. During his tenure, he spearheaded the marketing and business strategy for renowned brands such as Odomos, Odopic, SaniFresh, Dazzl, and Odonil, solidifying his expertise in FMCG and home care segments.
Pulikkal’s career highlights include pioneering innovations and leading successful product launches across various sectors. Notably, he played a pivotal role in introducing Tata WaterPlus, India’s first fortified water product, and establishing Sparkling Himalayan as a premium mineral water brand. His contributions at Jyothy Labs, where he managed brands like EXO, PRIL, MAXO, and T-Shine, significantly bolstered market share and profitability in the home care category.
Educationally, Pulikkal holds a PGDBM in Marketing from IMT Ghaziabad (2003) and a B.E. in Production from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering (1999). His diverse professional background includes tenures at Tata Motors and Mahindra & Mahindra, underscoring his versatility and deep understanding of both FMCG and automotive industries.
In light of Pulikkal’s appointment, Bajaj Consumer Care bids farewell to Abhishek Prasad, who served as Head of Marketing and will be leaving the company at the end of July to pursue new opportunities outside the organization.
