Blue Dart, South Asia’s leading express air, integrated transportation, and distribution logistics company, has appointed Dipanjan Banerjee as its new Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), effective June 2024. This strategic appointment aims to bolster Blue Dart’s leadership and commitment to excellence in the logistics industry.
Dipanjan Banerjee brings nearly two decades of experience in business development and market expansion within the express delivery and logistics sector. His recent role as Chief Business Officer at Ecom Express showcased his leadership and strategic planning abilities. Previously, Banerjee spent six years at FedEx Express, where he specialized in strategic business planning, supply chain management, and developing express delivery solutions.
Banerjee’s expertise covers critical areas such as marketing, sales, and product development across various industries. He has significantly contributed to the growth of e-commerce, demonstrating a strong track record in managing profit and loss, strategic planning, and international business operations, including cross-border logistics. His achievements have earned him recognition, including being named one of India’s top 10 Chief Business Officers by prominent industry forums.
Holding an MBA in Sales and Marketing from Amity University and having completed the Management Development Program at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Banerjee is well-equipped for his new role at Blue Dart. His broad experience and strategic insights are expected to drive significant growth and innovation for the company.
Banerjee succeeds Ketan Kulkarni, who moved to Allcargo Group as its Chief Growth Officer in April 2024. With around 15 years of experience in business development and market growth for express delivery and logistics companies, Banerjee is poised to enhance Blue Dart’s market position and operational performance, reflecting his deep understanding of the logistics industry and its dynamic market environment.
