Protean eGov Technologies, a leading population-scale technology firm, has elevated Gaurav Ramdev to the newly created position of Chief Growth and Marketing Officer. This role signifies an expansion of the company’s marketing function by integrating growth as a crucial element, with direct Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibilities.
In his new capacity, Ramdev will continue to serve as the company’s brand custodian while also taking on the responsibility of driving growth for the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) P&L across various channels, including B2C, B2B, B2B2C, and digital partnerships. His broadened role will be key in steering the company’s growth strategies and initiatives.
Announcing the promotion on LinkedIn, Ramdev stated, “The transition to Chief Growth & Marketing Officer expands the scope of the Marketing function, incorporating growth as an additional focus area. This shift aligns with Protean’s growth objectives, bringing direct P&L responsibility into the fold.”
Previously, as Chief Marketing Officer, Ramdev played a crucial role in managing all facets of the company’s marketing efforts, encompassing Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Performance Marketing, Content Marketing, Product Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Public Relations.
Ramdev’s career began as a Software Engineer specializing in Geographic Information Systems at Satyam Computer Services. Over the years, he has held significant roles at prominent companies such as ITC Limited, Orkla Group, Britannia Industries, The Coca-Cola Company, and Razorpay, contributing to his diverse experience in both marketing and growth functions.
