PepsiCo India Beverages has expanded Tarun Bhagat‘s responsibilities by appointing him as the Lead for the Away-from-Home Channel, in addition to his role as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Bhagat, who has been part of PepsiCo for more than 16 years, will now manage this new channel alongside his ongoing duties as CMO.
In this expanded role, Bhagat will oversee the Away-from-Home Channel within the India Beverages Business Unit, which is a crucial component of PepsiCo’s growth strategy. This channel includes product distribution and marketing efforts in out-of-home settings such as restaurants, cafes, and vending operations. Bhagat’s career with PepsiCo began in May 2008 when he joined as an Assistant Brand Manager. His career trajectory within the company saw him rise through the ranks, culminating in his promotion to CMO in May 2023. Prior to joining PepsiCo, Bhagat gained valuable experience at United Breweries Ltd. as a Group Product Manager for Kingfisher and at LG Electronics for over three years.
This dual role aligns with PepsiCo India’s strategy to better integrate marketing efforts with channel management, aiming to strengthen its presence across various consumer touchpoints.
