Arch Insurance International has appointed Ketan Motwani as the UK Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately, subject to regulatory approval. Based in London, Motwani will oversee key UK functions including underwriting operations, process and operational excellence, and strategic portfolio management. He will work closely with the senior leadership team at Arch to support the company’s growth strategy, reporting directly to CEO Hugh Sturgess.
Motwani brings over 20 years of experience in insurance operations and transformation leadership, with significant tenures at Aon and Deloitte. At Aon UK, he served as Chief Operating Officer for commercial risk, responsible for transformation, service delivery, operations, and digital platforms. At Deloitte, he focused on insurance strategy, operations, and technology.

Recently, Arch Insurance International also appointed Adam Waterstreet as Claims Relationship Manager for the UK regional division, focusing on broker account management and enhancing the claims proposition. Additionally, Laura Brahams was promoted to Head of Third-Party Claims, overseeing areas including casualty, cyber, financial lines, healthcare, intangible assets, and professional liability.
