Centre for Sight announced the appointment of Dr. Ajay Dogra as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). With over 20 years of extensive experience in healthcare management, Dr. Dogra brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in primary, secondary, and tertiary healthcare to his new role.
Before joining Centre for Sight, Dr. Dogra served as the Regional Director – NCR at Marengo Asia Hospitals, where he was responsible for business strategy, strategic thinking, and ensuring operational excellence.Prior to this, he held the position of Facility Director at Fortis Healthcare, where he managed Fortis Escorts Hospital in Faridabad, a 210-bed multi-specialty tertiary care hospital.
Dr. Dogra’s career in healthcare began with his role as a Medical Specialist with the Government of Punjab’s Department of Health, where he successfully managed a 30-bed hospital, improving its rating from ‘D’ to ‘A’ as assessed by the Punjab Health Systems Corporation. His commitment to service quality, facilities administration, resource planning, and training laid a strong foundation for his future leadership roles.
An alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, Dr. Dogra completed his PGPX (One Year Full-Time MBA), where he gained specialized training in business strategy, hospital administration, and healthcare services delivery. His academic journey also includes a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in General Medicine from Government Medical College, Amritsar, under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences.
As the new COO at Centre for Sight, Dr. Ajay Dogra will oversee the strategic and operational functions of the organization, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency. His appointment reflects Centre for Sight’s commitment to excellence in eye care services and its vision to expand its footprint across the country.
