2070 Health, India’s pioneering healthcare venture studio, announced the appointment of Gaurav Porwal as Chief Operating Officer and Operating Partner. With a robust background spanning two decades in the Indian startup ecosystem, Porwal brings extensive experience in founding and scaling businesses, particularly in healthcare and consumer sectors.
Previously, Porwal achieved a successful exit with Sparsh NephroCare, acquired by Fresenius Medical Care in 2016. His career highlights include pivotal roles at Ola Cabs as COO for Global Mobility and at Tata Digital as SVP for Service Commerce, where he played a key role in expanding healthcare, food delivery, and mobility initiatives for Tata Group’s super-app, Tata Neu.
In his new role at 2070 Health, Porwal will spearhead portfolio management, collaborating closely with founders and operational teams to drive growth across 2070 Health’s portfolio companies. His strategic guidance will be instrumental as 2070 Health plans to launch 8-10 startups over the next 3-4 years and expand operations internationally.
Upon joining 2070 Health, Porwal expressed his enthusiasm: “I’m delighted to be part of a team dedicated to transforming healthcare. I look forward to leveraging my experience to drive impactful change alongside our talented founders and team members.”
Pankaj Jethwani, CEO of 2070 Health, commented, “We are thrilled to welcome Gaurav to our team. His profound understanding of the healthcare landscape and entrepreneurial acumen will greatly benefit our mission to nurture and scale innovative healthcare startups.”
2070 Health, backed by W Health Ventures, aims to build a robust ecosystem of healthcare startups addressing critical industry challenges and driving innovation in healthcare delivery.
